They do help but it is not possible to take your hand off the throttle even for a second.

Name some of the other uses seriously after 37 years of use (on a bike!) after a while mine starts tingling and going dead so any chance to rest it I will seize with both, one? hand

Bought one at Ullapool from JKClive last year and it works really well on long trips .
