TOPIC: jofama tail bag

jofama tail bag 2 years ago #128636

anyone got any experience with these? seems like it might be worth a punt - not a bad size and a tad cheaper than giant loop...

that is a really good price. more like i think i'd expect to pay for a bag - ie not several 100's like some

I spend 100's on Kriega but having used Lindstrands brand (owned by Jofama) I know these bags are going to be quality kit ... I just haven't got round to getting a bike where I need this bag yet

I'd go for it as the people I know with one rave about them

Use a company called Vcustoms.co.uk and you get discount on first order

these bags are excellent for the money , one big drawback is they aint waterproof so pre bag goodies you dont want to get wet .

this is the reason some kit costs similar to the debt of a small country!

They do look pretty good. May have to consider one for trail riding with gear.

I just bought the Giant Loop Great Basin (which is the larger one)they even declare that its NOT waterproof! I've not tried it yet, but have the HISS event coming up next month to properly evaluate it. However it broke my heart spending circa £300 on it. If I had known about this Jofama, I think I would have tried one in preferance and saved the cash to put towards more travel

Been thinking, why buy one of these loops rather than soft panniers.

Just curious to peoples opinions. Both have circa 50L capacity.

Re: jofama tail bag 2 years ago #128731

cheers for the replies all

mind is made up going for one next payday!

mike, i have the sport panniers, used them before i got hard ones on my old bikes - they do the job but are a bit hard to get set right and you have to be careful of the exhaust... i know this because mine are in the shed since i burned a big hole in them 5 years ago...

seeing as i have downsized the big slightly i want a smaller bag for lightweight camping... from now on i leave the sink at home
