Excelent writing and an adventure by itself!, The only improvement would be to name the places you tell in your report. I am mexican so I imagine where it is. Congratulations and happy to see people are visiting my country and find happy moments and good friends.

Thanks for this write up, I hope to do something similar this summer (mind you I recall saying that a couple of summers ago) and on a similar looking Bike, the rough camping is very much me as well. I will check out some of the places you mention, I guess more photo's would make it better, but I know what it's like when your riding and enjoying it and making good progress the last thing you want to do is keep taking photos.
I'll have to check out some more of your blogs.

Without doubt the best adventure travel book I have read in many a long year.. Possibly the new Dan Walsh? I can't pay a higher compliment than that.
You're sat in the saddle with the author experiencing every mile, feeling every undulation and part of every encounter.
Quite forthright in opinions on occasion, and all the better for it.

An excellent, thought provoking read. Highly recommended.

                                The next Dan Walsh?
I can't a higher compliment than than that.
You are transported there and living the adventure too, riding alongside. Digital graphics don't add realism, the mind does, it just needs the right trigger to fire it up. This is it.

Highly recommend the road through Northern Greece (mostly sweeping dual carriageways and tunnels/viaducts etc funded by EU) to Ohrid in Macedonia (via nothern Albania) and then from Ohrid to Tirana. The SH3 mountain road in Albania from Elbasan to Tirana is fantastic with some of the best views I've ever seen. I understaqnd that they are just finishing building a new tunnel road which now takes all the traffic for Tirana and cuts the trip by several hours but please don't be tempted to take the new road - the mountain road is fabulous!
