Nice boot from diadora, though i expect labeled diadora and much duplicated by other brand names.

sold as waterproof and were for a while, now leak in heavy downpours, probably due to poor maintenance!

very comfy for walking in and good on the bike, though stiff and slightly restrictive if on sportsbike!

Buckles plastic and will abrade if touched down - could be a flaw but so far not created problems.

All in a decent boot.

These boots are described as a waterproof adventure boot, hence the name. So far they have really impressed me in all departments. They have a steel insert in the sole which helps when standing on the footrests, and the soles are also of the Vibram type so off the bike comfort and grip is really good also. The olive drab green suede is 3mm thick in most places with rubber wear pads fitted in the usual places. The side buckles are available separately in case you do break one and are held in by a simple philips screw, so no special tools are needed. Your shins are protected by a hard plastic piece bearing the logo W2. I don't think they offer the out and out protection of a full blown motocross boot, but for road touring in all weathers and weekend trail riding I think they are just about perfect with great comfort on and off the bike, and at a great price too.

These are great motocross boots. Provided you don't expect waterproof.
That is my only gripe with them. Other than that: great.

They were bought after my return from Argentina where a GS footpeg had tried to mate with my tibia. No broken skin, but bloody painful.
So after that I decided: biggest, strongest.

I hunted about and opted for the Aplinestars as, despite the acres of polycarbon armour, the felt like well padded socks: very comfy! They are also very warm.

In addition they are tought: they stopped my ankle getting crushed between the same GS and a crash barrier after a lady in a Fiesta felt I'd look better on the far side of the barrier. The boots survived remarkably well. The GS did not.

So if you want security and don't need your boots to blend in, get these and a few pairs of goretex socks and you'll be warm dry and safe!

Estonia is cold, and wet. My Alpinestars Tech 3 are warm, but not waterproof. Nor are they discreet, so I decide to investigate a replacement goretex boot for the old HG ones I had had back in the UK.

Although, my income was not what I would have liked, I decided to apply the same logic as I did in the UK: "Don't skimp on kit, you'll appreciate having good quality, even if the invoice hurts initially"

This is very true of these boots. They have been entirely waterproof through an evil winter last year, and blazing summer this year and everything in between.

They are comfy and fit like tall, heavy slippers. These boots certainly appear to be very sturdily built with no signs of seams or joins weakening, despite two years now of use and abuse.

The sole is very robust and grips well, and they have padding and reinforment in all the right places. Adjustment is plentiful and effective.

In a word, these boots are great.

If you like the style and are comfortable with the budget, you will not be disappointed by the performance.

Not the best looking boots in the world, but all day comfortable on and off the bike. Easy to get in and out of with zips on both sides. Can't vouch for the protection as I have not had to try it and hopefully never will. But I can vouch for their waterproofness, having ridden from Calais to Ghent in an absolute storm I was absolutely bone dry under my gear, in fact the stuff was so waterproof (Rukka Athos jacket, Rukka Unit trousers) I made huge puddles on the hotel floor as the water ran off. Again when riding up to Tamworth, rain all the way no water got in these. personally I think a great pair of boots and well worth the cash, 5 year guarantee as well.

Well, I brought a pair of these 7 years ago after I broke my leg and couldn't get my old boots over my swollen ankle. Anyway, I soon binned the old boots and have been wearing these ever since. About 20000 miles later and they are still going strong.

Not as waterproof as they look, but nothing a pair of goretex socks (or plastic bags!) doesn't solve.

Overall, a good hard wearing and comfy pair of boots. Recommended.

I needed good protection off road without being to bulky when on road and I didn't want the stiffness you get from a dedicated MX boot. The moment I slipped my feet into the Comp 5 I was sold! This boot is so comfortable, even the first days ride with them they felt like were already broken in. Taken them out on some very wet days, gone through a few rivers with them and I am very pleased with the water proofing of them.

Would recommend these very reasonably priced boots to anyone. As far as size; I am a 44 and the 44 fits perfectly which is handy to know if ordering online.
