Despite many claiming what a wonderful stove this was mine arrived with wonky welded legs, rust and a paint job done by a 1 year old. I wouldn't want to see what would happen after a year.

Great stove, easy to light with nice big stable footprint.
Doesn't like old stale fuel, pops! bangs! & goes out!. Bit like old Jap bikes.
Definately more than just a tea brewer.

I've had my 533 for about 5 years now and use it every time I go camping. I've just had a "boil-off" against a Primus quickboil stove that looked the business... and my old-fashioned 533 filled with unleaded from my bike beat it to the boil. It also does simmering very well, allowing me to enjoy cooking whilst camping almost as much as I do at home (not tried to cook a Thai banquet on it yet, that would be a tad ambitious!).

Highly recommended piece of kit.

Hi i used my coleman 533 nonstop for nearly 6 years, but had it for 15, it ran on all sorts of crap fuel from around the world, once a week i gave it a small service, manily cleaning the generator pipe and a dab of oil on the pump,i could fill straight out of my fuel tank, ive heard that people have had problems at altitude but i never had any problems. this is a great bit of kit and i would never go on a trip with out it.

I had one of these for several years and always enjoyed showing up my friends when they lit their puny camping gaz stoves. This little jet engine is very powerful and very adjustable, the only reason I don't have it now is that a charity run ended in Mongolia and I had to leave it there and fly home.

The "Nearly perfect" is because of the weight and size of the thing. It really does take up a lot of space, so I now have a 442 "feather" which is slightly less powerful but much more convenient to carry.

And don't forget these puppies will run of pretty much any petrol, so if you have fuel for you bike then you have fuel for your dinner :-)

Had all sorts of stoves but this is truly the best, its so powerfull and compact and allways reliable
whenever I've used it. Once cooked a full pan of chips for the kids outside last winter in the snow.
Best chips we've ever had.

Had one of these for quite some time. Note had.It boils a pot of water in no time at all, however, it does not go low enough to simmer porige or anything else that needs very low heat. Also, it is impossible to refill when hot, and is a dodgy job even when cold. Mine would leak like a basket despite efforts to rectify. It could not be left with pressure in the tank for fear of leaking and to let the pressure out was to say at lest lethal.Reliability was good until one day lt developed a blockage and after repairing would work at home but never on the road. I fixed it , eventually, with a BIG hammer. I now stick with my 40 year old GAZ stove. Result.
