Having purchased a Rukka Athos jacket (see review) decided to get some good trousers and went with these they have proved totally waterproof and warm, again I removed the lining for summer and haven't put it back yet (oct). These don't get as warm as the jacket and are all day comfortable on and off the bike. Come with braces attached, had never used braces but now wouldn't be without them, find them very useful especially on the bike. Protection not tried. Two good size pockets, although they are not waterproof. Zipped bottoms with velcro to tighten around the boot. Haven't used my leathers since, find them a good all round trouser. Purchsed from the bikerstore.co.uk, found them very helpful. One main reason I got these was that they are the only ones (I have found, so there may be others) that do three lengths, short, standard and long being 6'-3" tall standard ones are no good, thses fit perfectly.
