Brand Name Bikers Gore Tex
Price 500
Year Purchased 2011

Anywhere you go in this gear will leave others in no doubt as to which genre of lifestyle you are representing as the ‘Bikers’ manufacturers logo is marked several times on this suit, albeit in relatively small detail.
This little known Spanish company will have a few people thinking “I’ve never heard of them” and dismissing what is good quality equipment.
With costs at the moment around £290 for the jacket and £200 for the trousers, you are getting an ‘All-season’ suit at a very competitive price.
The suit is made of Dupont Cordura with a Gore-Tex shell which will repel the wind and rain, although the outer will ultimately wet-out in the more heavy of downpours, the Gore-Tex membrane will keep you dry.
There is further weather protection from the substantial fastenings and a storm flap over the main zip in the jacket.
The thermal liners are removable, and adequate ventilation is obtained from 2 small zip vents on the front of the jacket, plus 2 exhaust vents on the back, and 2 thigh vents on the trousers, ideal for those warmer days. So it can be used all year round, and is perfect for that European tour.
The jacket boasts 4 water resistant pockets, the breast ones have water lock out zips and the lower ones fold over flaps with Velcro fasteners which will keep the contents dry.
An all-round zip joins the jacket to the trousers, which will keep out drafts and avoids jacket ride-up. Adjustable straps in the chest, sleeves, waist and cuffs facilitate the most perfect fit.
There is CE approved armour at the shoulders, elbows and knees as well as a good back plate which will offer good protection in a spill.
Choice of colour, unfortunately, is not an option, it’s only available in black, however, there is 3M reflective detailing across the back and on the lower legs of the trousers which is a subtle safety feature as is the friction patches on the seat which reduce seat slip.

I've had this jacket and trouser pair for three years and I must say that they are an excellent two/three season combination - too hot for me in the summer, but great for the rest of the year.

There are no significant signs of wear and having washed them once a year they have maintained their water resistance.

I have never felt the need to wear the thermal lining in the trousers, but the lining for the jacket is compact and warm.

My only negative comment (apart from the supremely naff brand name) is that I wish the velcro'd neck closure tab was an inch longer, because if I don't get it just right it can come undone.

Otherwise, excellent kit and great value for money compared with some of the big-brand Gore-Tex kit that I tried before buying this. I hope they are still around in the UK when I need a replacement.

Nevertheless this is a good suit for discerning ‘Bikers’.
