In December 2010, my friend Patrick and myself left a snowy England to fly to South East Asia where we planned to take in three countries. Thailand, Laos and Cambodia by many means of transport but mainly by Dirt Bikes .. The plan was to fly to Bangkok and travel up to Chiang Mai and spend five days riding extreme trails in the Mountains close to the Burmese border before travelling to Laos where we would rent bikes again exploring the beautiful countryside and mountain regions. Then on to Phnom Phen in Cambodia where we would pick up bikes and ride north to the temples of Angkor Wat and six days exploring remote regions ...

Patrick and I have a blog site which details all our exploits and adventures and it truly was an adventure. We had no fixed plan as to where or what we did and no support other than each other ... this for me was what made this a true adventure. I remember saying to Patrick before we left that it wouldn't be an adventure until the following had happened:

We had fallen off the Bikes, Run out of petrol and had a puncture in the middle of nowhere. Well these things all happened within the first few days and the adventure was well and truly under way ...

I am only too happy to help anyone that may be planning a similar trip and you can contact me through the Blog Site listed below ...
