The only multi cylinder "adventure bike" with real off road capability.

Superb A and B roads bike, great engine and handling.

From two up around Spain, to UK trail riding and rallies, never missed a beat!

I liked Everything. Good handling at most speeds. Brilliant engine that revs forever. Reliable with excellent build quality. Superb looks and pedigree.
I Disliked Weight over front wheel ( off road only)
Would you buy again Maybe
In one line Still the best looking adventure bike and so capable off road.
Grin Factor (0=crap 10=I loved it) 10

Had problems with emission system at first, with after market products it runs great. Service is does not exist in my area and online help is zero. The bike is the best handling bike in its class and runs real good. With a little wrench turning and research, who needs factory service.

Uncomfortable seat - even with a gel replacement
Good off road, but a bit daunting due to it's size
Good round town from the commanding view but still very tall
Lots of extras available
Not reliable at all, mine slowly went through all the list of faults up to and including including head gaskets
Brilliant handling given that it has off road tyres and wheels
Engine brilliant (when it's running)

All in all a great bike when it runs, but bikes this unreliable died out in the 60's and 70's - I sold it 4 years ago and bought an 1150 GS which has neve missed a beat......

We arrive in a wet and miserable UK
rupertu
We have now ridden 34,000 kilometers on our KTM 990 Aventures from the southern tip of Africa, through Africa, Middle east and Europe and now arrived in the UK. We enjoyed riding through Wales and Derbyshire, but very very wet. We saw some bike in Mattlock Bath this weekend. We will miss the HU gathering in Ripley as we have interviews and visa appointments in London for our final leg to South East Asia and into China. The KTMs have been absolutely awesome... a joy to ride.
