Following the incredible success of our first ABR Night in Stratford-upon-Avon in May this year, ABRs everywhere are gearing up for ABR Nights 2 which promises to be an equally exhilarating and thoroughly entertaining evening.

On Tuesday 12 June 2012, veteran overlander and best-selling author Sam Manicom will take to the stage at the Riverbank Restaurant and Bar, Stratford-upon- Avon, (formerly 'The Ripple'), to share his pearls of wisdom gleaned on a12-month bike trip which turned into an eight-year adventure.  He will be joined by our second speaker, adventure rider and self-confessed ‘Leprechaun’ Norman Magowan who will be telling us about his amazing 35,500-mile ride through the Americas.

Back in May, Nathan 'The Postie' Millward and Paddy Tyson wowed the packed-out audience who were enthralled and inspired by their truly amazing tales of epic adventures from Australia to the Americas. The event hosted by ABR Magazine was completely sold out with attendees already booking tickets to ensure their spot for the second and upcoming ABR Night to be held on Tuesday 12 June 2012, eager not to miss out on what promises to be an equally fascinating, inspiring and thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Sam Manicom is well known in the world of adventure and motorcycle travel and has been travelling pretty much his entire life.  He is a regular guest on motorcycle radio shows such as Biker FM and Sidestandup. He is also one of the main organizers of the world’s largest adventure motorcycle travel meet, run by Horizon Unlimited each year in the UK.

Sam’s first major trip was a grand backpacking voyage across Europe, India and Australia, Upon his return to the UK, Sam learned to ride a motorcycle and within 3 months of starting to ride, he set off to travel the length of Africa. This one-year trip turned into an eight-year, 200,000 mile, motorbike adventure across 55 countries around the world.  His epic journeys have been vividly described in his books and will no doubt, be shared with the audience when Sam takes to the stage at ABR Nights 2.

Our second speaker at ABR Nights 2, Norman Magowan rode his first motorbike at the age of 17 and has been travelling the world on 2 wheels ever since. In 2003 he took a break from a successful career in the space industry to travel the length of the Americas from Chile to Alaska with his wife Maggie on a pair of BMWs. They spent 15 months and 35,500 miles on the road which inspired the publication of the ‘Adventures in Yellow’ series of books.

So, if you fancy a spectacular night of adventure, come down to ABR Nights 2 at the Riverbank Restaurant and Bar, Stratford upon Avon on Tuesday 12 June 2012 at 7.30pm.  Following the sell-out success of the first ABR Night, early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Drinks and refreshments will be available. Family and friends are welcome.  There is also ample parking.

The third and final ABR Nights will be held Wednesday 11 July 2012, at the same location and more guest speakers will be ABR legend Ted Simon and Dutch world travelling ABR, Sjaak Lucassan.
