The annual BMW Motorrad Days 2012 tour is taking place this year from 4-10 July in the Alpine town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria. Organisers are inviting riders from all around the world to join the seven day round trip which will cover 1,400 miles and to participate in the biking festival.
“Motorrad Days is the ultimate celebration of all things two-wheeled and BMW! Last year was bigger than ever, with more than 40,000 visitors making the annual trip to stunning Garmisch Partenkirchen” organisers say. The town is situated at the foot of Germany’s highest mountain, the Zugspitze.
The tour starts with a short ride to across to the biking festival along some of the finest roads through France and Germany. Participants can stay either at nearby hotels and bed and breakfast accommodation near the event itself enabling them to enjoy entertainment and refreshments which will be available. “And, of course, there's the legendary Bavarian hospitality!” organisers add. A part camping option is also available.
At the biking festival, participants will be able to experience traditional German food, live music every night, enjoy test rides on road and off-road bikes and ride-outs into BMW's Bavarian heartland. There will be a host of shows and displays to see from the full 2012 range of BMW motorcycles, through to the latest parts and accessories, tours and trips, classic bikes and, much more. “Solo riders are more than welcome! BMW tours are all about meeting new people and making new friends, especially at one of the biggest motorcycling parties on Earth!” say organisers. There are a few last places available.
