You've read the reviews and seen the tantalising ad campaigns, now's your chance to get your grubby mitts on the real thing as Triumph's all-new Tiger Explorer hits UK dealers today, Thursday 22 March.

The Tiger Explorer is Triumph’s first entry into the large-capacity adventure touring sector and follows on from 2011’s popular Tiger 800 models. It is powered by an all-new, shaft-driven, 137 BHP 1215cc, three-cylinder engine.

The Tiger Explorer debuts Triumph’s new ride-by-wire throttle system and includes cruise control, switchable ABS and traction control. The chassis department has a strong steel frame and cast alloy wheels, 19” front and 17” rear, the latter showcased by the single-sided swing arm. A range of over 50 accessories has also been developed for the Tiger Explorer’s launch.

The Tiger Explorer is priced at £11,149 OTR and a limited number of launch edition models, with  additional accessories such as an adjustable touring screen, fog lights, hand guards and engine protection bars, are available for £11,999.

I bought one chopped in my Sprint ST, so the explorer is every bit as good as they said it would be. I struggled very slightly at first with the fly by wire throttle but soon got used to it, other than that I just can't fault it. I have ridden the GS and its no match for the Triumph. smilies/cheesy.gif
