ABR Charley Boorman's at it again in a brand-new adventure TV series, and this time it's the wilds of Canada getting the two-wheeled treatment.
Extreme frontiers: Canada follows the intrepid biker on a series of cross-country challenges, as he travels 10,300 miles across the world’s second largest country aboard a BMW R 1200 GS Adventure.
“I have to say it was one of the toughest trips I have ever been on due to the intensity, the tough challenges we embarked on and the sheer distance we travelled, ” said Charley.
“I've always travelled through loads of different counters quite quickly. Extreme Frontiers is about looking into one country and trying to get under the skin of it; exploring how it's put together, how it came about and what people get up to there.”
The four-part series sees Charley and his producer/director Russ Malkin traversing each of the 10 Canadian provinces, two frontiers, three oceans and four extreme frontiers from east to west under the midnight sun. Along the way the pair embark on some dangerous, frightening, inspiring and sometimes hilarious tasks including canoeing, rodeo, ice hockey and dirt biking. The trip concludes with a huge motorcycle convoy across Vancouver Island and into Torfino.
Extreme frontiers: Canada starts at 9pm, Channel 5, on 28 November
